First up Twenty3 personally wants to thank everyone who came down to Perth's first ever sneaker swapmeet, with out you this day would not have been the amazing success that it was. This goes out to all the sellers, buyers, performers and everyone involved in organizing the day.

Took just a few photo's, but as you can all see it was a fun day had by most and I'm sure its safe to say OneUp & Twenty3 cant wait to start organizing the next one!!!

We were also lucky enough to have a reporter and photographer from The West Australian rock up asking if it was fine for them to do a story on the day........."ahhhhhh hell yeah it is"

You can sell at no charge, just BYO table/display and make sure you register with Mat (info@insertcoins.com.au) prior to the event to allocate you a spot. It doesn’t matter if you have 5 pairs or 500!

Stage 3: THE MYSTERY OF FLYING KICKS

This short film, which examines the social phenomenon of throwing sneakers over powerlines will be playing in the digital gallery for the fortnight leading up to the swapmeet. Produced with the help of the South Australian Film Corporation, it took out the Shorts Award at the 2010 Melbourne International Film Festival and this will be its Perth premiere.

Stage 4: EXHIBITION PRIZE

A judging panel will award the coveted Blue Ribbon Laces to the best sneakers in show on the day (male and female categories). Wear ‘em, bring them in the box or in a diamond encrusted case, show off your most prized pair to win. Criteria includes rarity, look & design plus the story of how you acquired them.

This event is sponsored by EA Sports and the new NBA Jam for Wii, PS3 and XBOX. We have copies to giveaway as door prizes, raffle amongst sellers and for the best in show.
